I hope that this year break for the band helps out Dave to come up with a better show in future years. Sunday night show was much better, he kept up the pace and encouraged the audience to get involved. The last five minutes of the show were amazing, with a glow stick waterfall. Unfortunately in his latest performance "Dave at the Gorge 2026", you could tell that he was seriously burned out. It is reallly sad when his best song of the night wasn't even his own music. The best song of the night was a cover of Jimi Hendricks "all along the watch tower". Overall I would rate this concert "average" and I would say probably the worst concert I have ever seen at the gorge. First I would like to say that the Gorge is absolutely the best setting for a concert of this magnitude and Dave is a good musician. I had this whole experience of what I thought it was going to be and it definitely fell flat. Saturday's show was more than disappointing. He didn't get the audience involved and it was like he was asleep and playing music.
As for the rest of the gorge experience, AMAZING!!! Probably one my best. The people and the after parties were absolutely incredible. The Beer Patrol inside the concert were really lame, "fun takers" as I would like to say.
